I made a public event map with the venue for Friday's dinner and the Microsoft building (the one with the coordinates only near the highway on the top right) and I would like to ask you to indicate what location you will be staying in. That way we will still be able to cluster in a few places, depending on our preferences.

Ideally participants would stay in the same hotel so that we can start the networking already over breakfast. We are looking for a hotel that is:
When I started researching accommodation, I realized that you might have very different expectations from your accommodation. So I decided to put together some starting material, to make it easy to find a hotel and to leave it up to you to choose/find what type of accommodation you would like to have.
The venue: Microsoft België is located in the Corporate Village; Leonardo Da Vincilaan 3; 1935 Zaventem. It's the coordinates arrow on the following map. That map also indicates a couple of hotels that are really close to the airport and the place where we'll be holding the conference.
The evening activities however will take place in the center of Brussels. On Friday night the dinner will be at Le Cercle des Voyageurs. I'm still not sure where we'll be on Saturday night (suggestions are very welcome!). I've also made maps with hotels and hostels in centrum near the Central station.

Hotel Des Colonies
Just booked Hotel Des Colonies after seeing tweet from @pgrond on this page - was only £106 for 2 nights on otel.com

I'll be staying at "A La Grande Cloche", arriving on Friday. Anyone else staying there?
Hotel suggestion: 4* on 3* price
If anyone is still searching for a nice hotel (colleagues of mine stayed there and were very satisfied), there are still 5 rooms available at Sandton Hotel Leopold Brussel (close to Station Leopold and the European Parliament, so quite in the center). Now the price is 139 EUR for 2 nights (instead of 500 EUR). You can check it here:

couchsurfing in Mechelen
If some one is interested, I've got a room (a very good 2 person bedroom, not just a couch) close to my place that can be used. Its free, but its a 30min drive from the venue. As I need to make that drive you can of course just join me.
Booked hotel at the city centre
I've just booked a room at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, got an inexpensive room through Booking.com (alas last one). The hotel is located near Brussels Central station, and there seems to be abundance of hotels in the area -- the airport train stops there, too.
Hotel options
Many good options: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g188644-Brussels-Hotels.html
Do we already have the restaurants for Fri/Sat? I don't think it's a problem if people stay at different hotels, but it sure would make life easier if they all were in the same area.

My first option was to book a hotel near the Microsoft building.
But, if the restaurants are in the center of Brussels, maybe it's better to book a hotel there.
This hotel http://www.st-nicolas.be seems nice, is there anyone from Brussels to help on this?
My main concerns are: i) how many time we'll need from Brussels central station to the Microsoft building ii) Where are the restaurants and how we'll reach them at night
St Nicolas
I stayed there was during FOSDEM last year - it is ok and if we can't settle on anything else I guess it will have to do but it is not great (certainly not as nice as the website :-) ).
